Ceramics

The ceramics pictured below were created from hand dug wild clay. The dry clay is sorted, ground, and sifted, then it is reconstituted with water and shaped. After each pot is finished, it is burnished with a stone and left to dry for several weeks. After that it is fired in a wood fire. This creates the “fire clouding” pattern of colors on the pot’s surface.
